Each of our scholarships is named after Marines who didn’t just serve their country, they also served their community in a number of ways. The Marine Corps League, LCpl Jacob D. Hayes Detachment #1426 established these scholarships with input from their families, in their honor.

not in any way obligate the applicant to any military service
PFC Hanse Mason Hamilton Scholarship
Open to all high school seniors who are members of a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program within Collin County, Texas. Do not need to be related to a service member.
LCpl Jacob D. Hayes Scholarship
For Marines, FMF Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains and families attending Collin College with Fire Academy, Police Academy or Department of Medical Services (EMT and Paramedic) services in mind.
Sgt Johnny Robertson Scholarship
Scholarship for any Marines, FMF Corpsmen, FMF Chaplain, their families. Marine Corps League Associate Members, and their families, to attend any accredited university, community college or vocational school.

Collin County Marine Corps League - who we are
The LCpl Jacob D. Hayes Detachment #1426, Department of Texas, Marine Corps League was chartered on 18 May, 2015 in Plano, Texas.
What We Do
We are a nonprofit organization made up of Marines, Navy FMF Corpsmen, and associate members – members of the community who espouse the ideals and principles of the League. We serve the Collin County community through carrying on the history and traditions of the Marine Corps as well as promoting good citizenship and democracy. The Marine Corps League also voluntarily renders and assistance to all Marines, Navy FMF Corpsmen and their families.
Scholarship Program
The Marine Corps League, LCpl Jacob D. Hayes Detachment decided to create the scholarship program as a separate independent organization in 2021. The Collin County Marine Corps League Scholarship Program was charted December 14, 2021 in Plano, Texas, and is a non-profit organization registered with the State of Texas and Federal IRS as a 501 (c) (3) public charity.
